Card of the Day

The Ace of Cups is one of my favorite cards, and it is also one of my signifier cards.  It means rebirth of creativity, love, and compassion.  This card represents the beginning of a relationship or the start of something new and promising.  The relationship can also be with yourself.  It does not have to be with a partner.  It is a feel good card.  It means that love is the focus of all situations.  It does not neccessarily have to be romantic love either.  It can be positive self-image or being proud of completing a goal.  This card is about creative expression as well.  With multiple positive meanings, this card is about finding your happiness and starting your journey from that point.

Ace of Cups by Jenn Carbaugh

My muse is that chalice that overflows with opportunity.
I can reach out, and I will not sip but gulp from it.
That balanced cup has become my intimate holy grail.
A powerful hand of intuition is pierced with my passion.
It is my time.
I am reborn from the five streams of water that spill out.
I am like the new petals of the lotus resting with the element.
A dove has come to reassure a creative feeling deeper than love.
It is my time.
Forever will be my journey,
And it will start over every day.

Card of the Day

I am going to be doing something different now for the card of the day.  I am writing a book that consists of poetry versions of the Tarot.  I am going to also provide a basic meaning of the card, but I will incorporate a poem that I write as well.  The level of intimacy and personal feel will vary.  I am very excited about this new project.  I have been curious about where to go with my blog.  I am going to use my blog as a stepping stone into my writing.  Please enjoy!

The Devil could indicate some negativity or trickery in your life that you need to get away from.  It could also mean change.  It is an external force that is out of your control.  When you get this card, you need to ask yourself some questions like are you being tricked or restricted or do you have an addiction of some kind?  It could also be a positive card and means that it's time for you to change and break bad habits.  It makes you aware of the negative, so you can switch to the positive.

Prison of The XV by Jenn Carbaugh

Chains and fire are not always his comrades.
He is a prisoner of fear in caves with no exit.
The Satyr values more than eager addiction.
Passion and sexuality run deep within his wings.
Materialism sinks immensely below his horns.
He answers only to the goat of the Capricorn.
When he appears, ask about trickery in life.
Prepare yourself for that uncontrolled change.
Hell-bent on endeavors, break those bonds now.

Card of the Day

The Three of Cups.  The Three of Cups represents relationships and happy conpanionships.  During this time you need to be open to others and in return they will be open to you.  Turn to your female friends for love and support.  It is a social time.  This will help you find balance in your life.
