Lavender Cookies

As a kid, my grandmother (a practicing Wiccan) loved to bake.  Unfortunatley she passed away when I was younger.  She made some very interesting and different foods than my other family members, but I loved hers the best.  I was not able to obtain any of her recipes when she passed, so I am always looking for the food to live up to her amazing baking ability.  I would love to share what recipes I do find with everyone.  If you have recipes, feel free to share, Wiccan or not.  All are welcome :)

Lavender Cookies
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon dried lavender blossoms, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Preheat oven to 375F. In a med. bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and lavender: mix well. Combine the flour and baking powder and add to the lavender mixture. Stir until will blended. Drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake eight to 10 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges. Let cookies cool.  :)
